The animated series follows the joy of 13-year-old orphan Jack. Jack lives differently in his life as he lives in his monster-filled town, and he will have to think to adapt to this place. Jack quickly thinks of finding friends and creativity and trying to find daily alternatives if he wants to survive in this savage city.
It's all fine. It's not, like, great, but it's fine. And in the end, June disabuses Jack of all notions of damsel-saving, and the four kids save the world together, with remarkably negligible blood and gore. It's fine.
The Last Kids On Earth is one of the best kids' shows we've seen all year, mainly because it has plot and character development worthy of shows for grown-ups.
