A documentary series follows the issue of a group of ladies from various ages, who join against R. Kelly, an outstanding singer, who makes an extraordinary progress, as they experience the ill effects of his abuse, what challenges his profession, as through this documentary that pursues interviews with those ladies. In this new season, Tiffany Hawkins at last shows up and disclosed to her story.
Is it hard to watch? Absolutely. But it's also riveting and cathartic, especially since Kelly is being prosecuted. "Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Reckoning" continues to press for justice and give voice to credible accusers and witnesses.
The original documentary, however, arrived somewhat under the radar, whereas an acute sense of that significance seemingly weighs on the sequel, in a way that, strictly from a TV standpoint, blunts its impact.
