Following season 2, the series continues as the clumsy spy is upgraded to Intersect 2.0 by another batch of data download to his brain. Assisted by Agent Sarah Walker, Chuck learn to improve his calmness in dangerous situation.
Zachary Levi has done a great job at playing Chuck the nerd so far, and that's certainly a core aspect of his character still. But Levi also proves that he can credibly turn on the action hero side of the character too.
Rarely does a show get under my skin in a good way like Chuck does. It's smart, funny, got plenty of non-cheesy action and a whole lot of pop culture savvy.
Amid all the shattered and haunted leading men on TV today, Chuck is a refreshingly simple guy. He just wants to do his job well and get the girl. Which may, in fact, be enough.
In a very smart move, Chuck has undergone something of a reboot in an attempt to find a wider audience although it's by no means a sell-out of the original concept of the show.
The whole Chuck-Sarah relationship has been played from so many angles as to have grown a bit tedious--how many longing looks can two characters exchange?--and the actual capers are generally pretty slim.
