Drama and supernatural chills centered around an upmarket block of flats called 'Bedlam Heights', which was formerly a mental asylum. New comer Jed Harper is able to see the ghosts, which are generally invisible to others, and receives visions of their deaths. The hauntings are generally malevolent, and it is up to Jed to determine the spirits' motives and thwart their goals.
There are B-movie elements of the soap opera that work but the whole thing plays like a silly straight-to-DVD horror film chopped up into six weekly installments.
A sort of Melrose Place meets Ghost Whisperer by way of Being Human, this derivative drama is only mildly spooky and not nearly soapy enough to lure any but the most devoted genre fans and Anglophiles to a six-week run on BBC America.
