Former astronaut Jeff Tracy runs International Rescue, a top-secret heroic organization, from his headquarters on Tracy Island. When The Hood finds and invades International Rescue's secret base and traps most of the Tracy family, only young Alan Tracy and his friends can save the day.
This is dumb and dumber screenwriting, using as little ingenuity or intelligence as possible to make its point and guaranteed to put its audience into a drooly-mouthed stupor.
There's enough special effects razzle-dazzle to distract the average ten-year-old, but the script by William Osborne and Michael McCullers is stilted and humorless -- a little camp might have helped.
