Tracy Di Vicenzo is the Bond Girl in On Her Majesty's Secret Service . Her full name is Contessa Teresa Draco DiVincenzo, but she does not use her title, and prefers to be known as Tracy, as she says Teresa was a saint. She is a widow; her first husband was an international playboy who was killed in a car accident. Tracy herself is an excellent driver and skiier. She drives a red 1969 Mercury Cougar Convertible.Bond first meets her when he saves her from committing suicide. Bored with her aimless, empty jet-set lifestyle, she attempts to drown herself at a beach. He later comes to her rescue again in a casino, when she is unable to cover her gambling debts. She spends the night with him, then vanishes in the morning.Tracy's father, Marc-Ange Draco, is a powerful crime boss, and offers Bond information about the wherabouts of his nemesis, Ernst Stavro Blofeld, if Bond will woo Tracy. Draco feels Tracy is too wild and that Bond will be a calming influence on her. However, Tracy is headstrong and intelligent and sees through this plot, forcing her father to give Bond the information anyway, threatening that if he does not, he will never see her again. Impressed by this, Bond falls in love with her, and she with him.Tracy later rescues Bond from Blofeld after he flees the Piz Gloria (having again forced her father to reveal where Bond had gone), and her driving skills save the pair of them from being recaptured. However, she later falls into Blofeld's clutches again, and Bond is forced to storm the Piz Gloria, with Draco's help, to rescue her. Tracy herself proves tougher than many Bond girls as she plays an active part in the proceedings, first tricking Blofeld to give Bond more time to mount the attack, then winning a one-on-one fight with one of Blofeld's henchmen.Bond and Tracy marry, but their happiness is short-lived. As they leave the wedding, they stop their car to remove some of the flowers on it. Blofeld and villainess Irma Bunt drive past, and Irma Bunt shoots at their vehicle, aiming to kill Bond. While she misses him, she hits Tracy, killing her instantly.Tracy does not appear in any other films in the series, although Bond is seen visiting her grave in For Your Eyes Only , she is mentioned (although not by name) in The Spy Who Loved Me and in both cases it is made clear that her death still haunts Bond.Tracy's actual full name was Contessa Teresa di Vicenzo. The actual full name of her father Draco was Marc Ange Draco. Tracy when married would have technically become Tracy Bond or Contessa Teresa di Vicenzo Bond or Contessa Teresa Bond. The concept of Bond faling in love, and then having the object of his affections killed would be repeated with Vesper Lynd in the 2006 version of Casino Royale .
