Like Frank, Tom is a working stiff with a few issues. But it's hard to see who's the bad influence on the other, or who is worse off, as Tom begins being concerned with Frank's behaviour and self medication only to become violent and sadistic with patients (making a game out of it with Frank) as Frank begins to see the light at the end of the tunnel!
