Daniel Sully Sullivan is pushing sixty. He as a bum knee, the result of a fall from a scaffold . He is suing his boss because it is not covered by Workman's Comp. Insurance, Seems his employer, Carl Roebuck, hires everyone under the table so he doesn't have to pay insurance premiums. Sully rents from a nice older lady, Miss Beryl, and tends to avoid doing some of the things on her honey-do list. He does use the snowblower ( borrowed from Carl) when needed and when he can be its current owner . To further complicate Sully's life, his estranged son Peter has returned to town, unemployed, separated from his wife and younger son and with a big chip on his shoulder about his dad. Also important in Sully's daily life are his work and play buddy, Rub, simple but sweet; Toby, flirtation buddy and wife of Carl; new acquaintance grandson Will and various and sundry poker pals.
