Sergeant Floyd Pepper is the bassist for the Muppet band known as The Electric Mayhem. He has a rather pinkish skin tone and long orange hair. He usually wears a green cap and a red uniform with gold buttons. He lead sang many of the band's songs, starting with Ain't Misbehavin' .Floyd often goes backstage during the show to interract with fellow Muppets outside of the band, sometimes bugging them with his hip sarcasm. He is often paired with fellow band member Janice (though whether or not they are romantically involved is uncertain) and sometimes has to take charge of Animal (in The Muppet Movie, Floyd took him for a walk, leading him on a chain).Floyd has been very active in the Muppet movies and specials. In The Muppet Movie, he took it upon himself to introduce most of the band to Kermit and Fozzie. His name is sort of two references in one: his first name (as well as his color) is a reference to the band Pink Floyd, and his last name, combined with his title, is a reference to the Beatles' album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band .Appearances in literary Muppet comic books: Muppet Robin Hood (as one of the Crusades), Muppet Peter Pan (as one of the Indian-like hippies), Muppet King Arthur, Muppet Snow White (as Grumpy)Performed by Jerry Nelson.
