Professor Cannon's Wife is first seen in Wyatt's Nightmare, when Amanda Cryer begins stalking Professor Cannon. Amanda is smoking outside of the professor's home when he and his wife come outside with their son and see him onto the school bus. The professor and his wife kiss goodbye and she heads off to work. As she walks away and is out of earshot, Amanda confronts the professor, calling him a monster. The second time we meet Mrs. Cannon is in Unanswered Calls, when Amanda breaks into the Cannons' home in the morning, and sneaks into their bathroom while the professor showers. At first, Professor Cannon thinks it is his wife handing him the towel as he's getting out of the shower, but really it is Amanda. When he sees that it is Amanda, he stumbles in the shower, making a loud noise, and Mrs. Cannon checks on him from the hallway. She wants to come in, to make sure he's okay, but he makes sure she doesn't come in and see Amanda. Mrs. Cannon is suspicious at first, but then accepts that everything is okay, and confirms with the professor that he will be at her father's dinner party later.Mrs. Cannon is yet again playing the innocent/unknowing wife in Amanda's Revenge. Amanda breaks into the Cannons' home in the middle of the night this time, pulling a gun on the professor while he's in bed with his sleeping wife and daughter. Mrs. Cannon earned the nickname Sleeping Beauty, from fans of the show, because she is apparently a heavy sleeper. She doesn't wake up for almost the whole scene while Amanda terrorizes the professor, but she wakes up when Amanda slams the door on the way out, wondering what the noise was. Professor Cannon tells her it was just the wind and she goes back to sleep.Fans of the show wondered if Mrs. Cannon would ever find out about her husband's transgressions, especially after he gets stabbed by Amanda in the park. What did the professor tell his wife after that? Would she have a chance to give him hell for what he's done? Was she pretending to be asleep when Amanda confronted him in their bedroom, to protect herself and her daughter? As of 2014, this storyline is left wide open.
