Owen Grady, prior to his occupation in Jurassic World, was a member of the U.S. Navy. For an unstated number of years he was an active service member before ending his term of service and being hired by Jurassic World to train and research the behaviors of the park's Velociraptor pack in that consisted of Blue, Charlie, Delta, and Echo. As he worked for Jurassic World, he lived in a Sunrio bungalow in the outskirts of the park.Owen also appears to have prior knowledge of animal training, a strong sense of respect for the animals he has been entrusted with, and a healthy understanding of the capability of creatures to appear tame under the right conditions while still being wild and capable of violence against humans. This lead to conflict with the ingen security division leader Vic Hoskins.
