Myka Bering (Joanne Kelly)Myka Bering is a Secret Service agent. After saving the President's life, she was recruited to work in Warehouse 13, a secret U.S. government repository where special artifacts with historical significance-- and imbued with supernatural powers-- are stored.Myka is whipsmart, physically capable, beautiful, organized, methodical and possesses a remarkable, near-photographic memory. She can seem rigid and intense but also has a funny side.Myka partners with fellow Secret Service agent Pete Lattimer. They occasionally butt heads when Pete's jokey nature, tendency to quote films Myka hasn't seen, and penchant to rely on vibes goes against Myka's more no-nonsense, erudite, and by-the-book approach.Myka grew up in Colorado to studious parents who ran a bookstore called Bering and Sons, even though she has no brothers. (The and Sons was only added to make the establishment sound classier.) Unlike her sister, Tracy, Myka was a tomboy and thus, instead of growing up playing with Barbies, she was a member of Girl Scouts of the USA. As a teenager one of her hobbies was fencing. She attended Lincoln High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and graduated in 2000. She is also fluent in at least four languages other than English: French, Russian, Portuguese and Latin.
