Mr. Kidd was one of two assassins in the employ of Ernst Stavro Blofeld during Blofeld's plan to extort money from world governments by threatening them with a powerful orbiting laser. Together with his partner (professional and romantic) Mr. Wint, Kidd shut down Blofeld's diamond smuggling pipeline by killing the people who made it up, once Blofeld had secured sufficient diamonds to complete the construction of the laser satellite.Following Blofeld's defeat, Wint and Kidd tried to murder James Bond and Tiffany Case, who were celebrating with a cruise. Wint's obnoxious cologne gave the pair away (see his bio). Reacting quickly, Kidd seized a pair of flaming skewers, and stalked toward Bond intending to impale him, while Wint throttled him from behind. But Bond broke a bottle of spirits and threw the remaining contents on Kidd, causing his arms to catch fire. Within seconds his entire upper body was involved, and he threw himself overboard (and presumably to his death) in his panic. His partner Wint died moments later. Show less «
