Lowell Tracey was a British musician who became a zombie after getting drunk at a bachelor party. He woke up in the drunkard holding cell in jail, zombified. He later hints that Blaine was probably the cause of his condition.MaxRager signed him as a musical artist, promoting his first album, but after becoming a zombie, Lowell couldn't do stage shows anymore. The adrenaline rush made him go 'full zombie', so now he can only perform in studioIn season 1, Lowell meets and dates Liv Moore. She is hesitant until she realizes he's a zombie too. He dyes his hair to look more like he used to and claims he would look 'freaky' as a blonde. His relationship with Liv is mostly sexual, but they have one date on screen where nothing sexual happens due to Lowell being gay for a few days after consuming the brain of a gay scientist.Lowell told Liv he gets his brains from a mortician, but in truth he gets them from Blaine's delivery service. When Liv discovers the truth (by eating Lowell's leftover breakfast brains and seeing a vision of Blaine murdering a homeless kid she knew), she confronts Lowell, angry. Lowell claims he didn't know where the brains came from and never tried to figure it out because it was better than starving. He refuses to give Liv Blaine's contact information due to her lack of a plan for what to do with it. When asked why he cared, Lowell admits to being in love with Liv. Liv leaves, still angry. The next day, Lowell attends a funeral of a man he doesn't know, mind full of Liv's accusations about where he gets his brains. He digs up the fresh grave and steals the man's brain and then brings it to Liv, untouched. Emotional and guilt-ridden, he says he should have cared about where the brains were coming from, but now all he can think about is that they eat people. Actual people. Liv kisses him and they spend the day together, eventually ending up in bed together. That night, Lowell makes a date with Blaine for the following evening. The plan is for Lowell to be the bait and Liv to shoot Blaine from across the street. However, when it's time for Liv to take the shot, she can't pull the trigger, realizing she'd be no better than Blaine if she did it. Lowell texts her to ask what happened and she tells him she can't do it. Although slightly uneasy, Lowell appears to accept the new direction. That is, until he gets the same vision Liv got earlier, of Blaine murdering the homeless kid they both ate for breakfast. Overcome with anger, Lowell makes the decision to kill Blaine himself. He faces the building where Liv is and puts a hand over his heart while mouthing that he loves her. Then he turns and tries to stab Blaine with a barbeque fork. Blaine turns around just in time and blocks the blow with his hand before shooting Lowell in the face, point blank, and killing him.Neighbors call the cops after hearing the shot. Liv is temporarily suspected, as she is found with the body, but the police chief calls the death a suicide and she is released, pending the M.E.'s official cause of death. After much deliberation, Ravi and Liv agree to sign their fake report, ruling Lowell's death a suicide. Ravi suggests they dispose of the body, in case it's contagious.
