Keith Two-Bit Mathews is the oldest of the gang, next to Darry. He is also the wisecracker of the bunch. He is about six feet tall, stocky in build, and very proud of his long rusty-colered sideburns. He has gray eyes and a wide grin, and he can't stop making funny remarks to save his life. You can't shut him up. He always had to get his two-bits worth in, hence his nickname. People forgot his real name is Keith. Life is one big joke to Two-Bit. He is famous for shoplifting and his black-handled switchblade. And he was always smarting off to the cops. He likes fights, blondes and for some reason no one understood, school.
