If you can picture a little dark puppy that has been kicked too many times and is lost in a crowd of strangers, you'll have Johnny. He is the youngest, next to Ponyboy, and the smallest. He has big black eyes in a dark tanned face. His hair is jet-black, and heavily greased and combed to the side, but it is so long, that it falls in shaggy bangs across his forehead. He has a nervous, suspicious look in his eyes. He is the gang's pet and everyone's kid brother. His father was a violent drunk and his mother was a selfish slob. He once got beaten up by the Socs, and has since then never walked by himself, and even carried a six-inch switchblade he used to kill Bob Sheldon, who cut up his face with his heavy rings on his hand. Sadly, Johnny died from a broken back and third-degree burns he suffered from rescuing kids from an abandoned church. Show less «
