Kami-Sama is the God of Earth (Kami means God in Japanese). He is the creator of Shenlong (Shenron) and the Dragon Balls, hence he must be alive in order for the Dragon Balls to work, and that's why Shenlong cannot fulfill certain wishes (it was made between the limitations of Kami-Sama himself). He is a Namekusei-jin, but when he first arrived on Earth as a child, he didn't know that he was an Alien. He survived by himself, and eventually, in order to become the new Kami of Earth, he had to train to expunge all evil that he had within. This leads to the creation of Piccolo Daimao (King Piccolo), who is the incarnation of the evil that Kami-Sama expelled from himself a very long time ago. Kami-Sama didn't know at the time that the evil would become Piccolo Daimao. His real name is unknown. As a greater threat arises in the future, Kami-Sama must combine once again in a fusion technique with Piccolo in order to obtain greater power and fight against those who do harm to the Earth.
