Jonesy was recently widowed and came to interview for a care taker of Molly Singer. She had no children but assured Manny Singer (Molly's father) that all the love she had for any children she'd been able to have would be given to little Molly which so impressed Manny that she was hired. Her first day, after Manny was gone to his work, she tried to fix Molly breakfast. However Molly wasn't the least bit impressed with her and went to the piano in the living room where she played a little ditty all day. Jonesy meanwhile made herself a screwdriver.When Manny came home later that night, Jonesy came to meet him with a drink in hand. She took his briefcase and mentioned he might say something to Molly about her piano playing. Then she proceeded to serve dinner and brought out several courses, Chicken Merango being one. She made a casserole say Peek-a-boo and made a joke about the other courses being hidden around the room. Meanwhile Molly is sitting there morosely watching this......woman....who she felt nothing but contempt for. When Manny complimented her on the food, Jonesy made the mistake of asking Molly if her mother could do any better and she bent down closer to Molly who spat a mouthful of milk into her face and ran to her piano and started playing her little ditty.Of course Manny was shocked and horrified that his daughter would do such a thing and he apologized profusely as hurried out to get her, leaving Jonesy alone at the food laden table talking to herself. She drank a swig of Manny's dinner wine. During the night, Manny was wakened out of a sound sleep when Jonsy came into his room, got on his bed and put her arm around his chest. What are you doing? he asked. Jonesy answered, I do everything a wife does. Shouldn't I be getting everything a wife gets? And he fired her. Show less «
