Ian is a jock mule deer, the leader of the herd, and one of Boog and Elliot's friends (but in the original movie, Ian was a bully to the duo).In the first film, Ian bullies and harasses Elliot and keeps calling him Smelliot, but in the end, he's reformed and doesn't want to bully Elliot anymore.In the second film, Ian appears to be slightly older as his voice changed a little bit.In the third film, Ian and the other wilds go on a rescue mission to save Boog from the Maslova Family Circus.
