If you have seen the trailers for this movie, there are really no spoilers in this character biography.Henry Hamilton is a wealthy man, having lived to a hundred and five, and has more than a century left to live. He is the pivotal character of the movie. When we meet Mr. Hamilton, he is asking for trouble in a bar in the wrong time zone. He is well-dressed, but his time clock is visible for all to see. That attracts attention of the wrong kind. Hamilton is apparently nearly ready for his inevitable fate, and asks for a minute. That minute is enough for Will Salas, our hero, to rescue Hamilton just in time. Will manages to guide Hamilton to an abandoned building, securing their safety for the night. He cannot understand why Hamilton is in the wrong time zone. Hamilton's disgust with the status quo of the world is evident in his answer: For a few to live, many must die. When he asks Will what he would do with all the time in the world, Will tells him he would certainly not waste it. That night, as Will sleeps, Hamilton transfers all his time, except five minutes, to Will, scrawls Don't waste my time on a window pane, and makes his way to a road bridge. Five minutes run out, and Hamilton falls off the bridge, dead, just in time for Will to see him fall.Matt Bomer plays this role to perfection.
