Rosen is a world-renowned neurologist in his 60s with a long professional history of working with the neurologically disabled. He is especially interested in alphas, which leads to him becoming leader of a team of them organized by the U.S. Government. Rosen's team is funded by Homeland Security, but he battles with the government over what their role should be. He seems first and foremost interested in helping them better themselves individually. While Rosen has a great appreciation for the power alphas wield, he seems equally dedicated to helping them adjust to society and integrate among regular humans. Background: Rosen has a close family connection to the alpha phenomenon, which is a large part of his passion regarding the subject. It is also why he seems to have such a unique understanding of alphas and their plight in society. During the 1960s he began Alpha-related work with the Department of Defense, including some controversial experiments for the CIA.
