Dr. Edgemar 's appearance in Total Recall is a splitting point for the plot, does it go one way or the other?Dr. Edgemar claims he works for Recall and comes as a standard counter-measure with every implant should there be any problem... But possibly Edgemar is a mediator working for Vilos Cohaagen whose mission is to convince Douglas Quaid that he is experiencing paranoid delusions so Quaid can be reprogrammed to conceal his progressive recollection of true status.
