Douglas Quaid is a regular guy, working at a construction site. Oddly, he is totally ripped (well, he gets a workout on those jackhammers), married to a woman who looks like a supermodel (well, she must love him for his personality) and speaks with an Austrian accent (well, Austrians gotta pay the bills too, y'know?). Even more oddly, when under pressure, he proves himself to be superior than most professionals at hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship, disguise, and a range of other espionage-related skills.
