Daphne Moon (Jane Leeves)Kind-hearted and caring, Daphne Moon (Jane Leeves) is a native of Manchester, England and the only daughter of Gertrude and Harry Moon. She has eight brothers including her always annoying and often drunk brother ,Simon, her gay brother, Billy, and her favorite brother, Stephen. Daphne is hired by Frasier Crane to be the live-in housekeeper and Martins physical therapist. She lives with both men in Frasiers Seattle apartment and although she is a terrible cook both men rely on her. Daphne shares a special friendship with Frasiers brother Niles, who is immediately smitten with the completely unaware Daphne.Daphne believes herself to be a bit of a psychic and has a firm belief in the paranormal and the supernatural. She is prone to telling long-winded stories about her family back in England that dont make sense. She will often put Frasier in his place with a well-executed one liner and has little tolerance for his pious attitude. She and Martin frequently bicker over his resistance to her therapy regimen and his stubborn independence. But she cares for both men deeply and is a de-facto member of the Crane family.
