Cameron Poe is a highly decorated and honorably discharged United States Army Ranger. Immediately upon his arrival home, he went to meet his pregnant wife at the bar where she worked. Soon after arriving, and while trying to enjoy a dance with his wife, they were accosted by one of the regulars who was a drunken jerk and insulting to both Poe and his wife. Poe restrained himself and ignored the drunken bum but when he and his wife tried to leave they were again confronted by the man and two of his 'buddies'. The three surrounded Poe and began to attack him. He fought back and the original guy drew a knife on him. Poe defended himself and ended up killing the guy. His lawyer told him to plead guilty to manslaughter and he would be out in a year. The judge, however, held Poe to a higher standard because of his military training and sentenced him to a term of 7 to 10 years. He used his time to better himself and communicated regularly with both his wife and the daughter he had yet to meet. Finally, after 7 years, he was being paroled. He wrote and told his wife and daughter that he would be home soon. It turns out that the day of his release, July 14, was also his daughter's birthday. He hitched a ride home to Alabama on a prison plane which, unfortunately for him, was hijacked by it's convicts. However, with the help of U.S. marshall, Vince Larkin he was able to prevent the convicts from escaping. He then reunited with his wife and daughter. Show less «
