Amelia is one of three ruling Elders of the vampires. In Underworld, her century-long reign is drawing a close, and she is in the process of returning to the mansion house where the other two Elders, Markus and Viktor, while in a state of hibernation, await their turns at reigning. Her final task is to awaken Markus for his reign; however, the train that is transporting her, the vampire Council, and bodyguards is intercepted and set upon by lycans. The lycans had sought her blood in order to create a vampire/lycan hybrid; Kraven, allied with Lucian, had sought to kill her (along with the rest of the Elders) in order to win control over the two great houses (or covens ). She and the other passengers are killed and she is bled dry , as Kahn put it. Viktor receives the news of her death with some distress.In the flashback portion of Underworld: Evolution, Amelia, Markus, and Viktor are trying to locate and capture William. In the sequel portion of the film, she has been gathered by the Cleaners and transported in a body bag to Alexander Corvinus' yacht.The exact location and nature of Amelia's coven is a matter of speculation. Dialogue in the film suggests that it is overseas, probably somewhere in the Western Hemisphere. Greg Cox's novelization of Underworld places it in New York City. With so little known about her and because of her minor role in both movies, she remains one of the most enigmatic, though intriguing characters in Underworld fandom. /V Show less «
