Aliens kidnap John Bishop during the war of 1812, as seen in the beginning of the episode Outbreak. Upon his release, he vowed vengeance. He convinced then-President Ulysses Grant, he began the Earth Protection Force ( EPF ) with the sole purpose of protecting the Earth from alien attacks, especially from greys.In the 1940's, he shot down a grey ship. Later, he used their bodies as a means of creating a fake invasion for funding.He first fought the TMNT during the Triceraton invasion, after he brokered a deal allowing the Federation to gain the upper hand on the Triceratons if they would help him capture the Turtle brothers.He already captured Leatherhead and wanted the Turtles, also, as more mutant DNA to splice into humans to fend off any future alien invasion. Bishop helped to hinder the Shredder's return to the stars at the end of season three because he wanted the Shredder's starship.In a season four episode, he captured Splinter and used his DNA to clone himself. Ultimately, this Slayer becomes the Rat King.Bishop worked in NYC with Baxter Stockman after season five, who assists him with transferring his consciousness into a clone, periodically.Bishop fought well as a TMNT enemy, but does seem to have Earth's best intentions at heart.
