Yvonne Huff was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona. She is the oldest of three born to Natividad Lagramada, a Filipina, and James H. Huff, small town Georgia man. Her first theatrical production was The Sound of Music in the 3rd grade at Cartwright Elementary School. This experience inspired Yvonne to continue to pursue acting through high school and college, where she received her B.F.A in theatre arts from University of Arizona. Yvonne began her professional career in Chicago, Illinois. It was in this great city a considerable part of her craft was honed. Her notable Chicago credits are The Gift Horse at Goodman Theatre, They All Fall Down at Lookingglass Theatre, and Knock Me a Kiss and Voice of Good Hope at Victory Gardens Theatre.Ms. Huff left Chicago, which she considers her second home, to pursue an on screen career in Los Angeles. She has recurred on Lifetime's Strong Medicine and appears in the short film, Beyond the Pretty Door, which won Best Short at the 2007 Pan African Film Festival and was screened at Festival Du Cannes, Hollywood Black Film Festival and the The other Venice Film Festival. She has done numerous commercials, most recently for Charter Communications, Pergo Flooring, Dunkin Donuts, and Miller Genuine Draft Beer. Yvonne continues to perform on stage. Her recent Los Angeles credits include Stop Kiss at Theatre 150, Hecuba at Worshop 360, and Private Battle at Watts Village Theatre. She is a founding member of Lower Depth Ensemble, a company dedicated to presenting the finest in classical, contemporary, and emerging American Theatre through the lens of the artist of color.Yvonne is an intelligent, passionate, hardworking actor and artist. She also enjoys gardening, Anusara yoga, salsa dancing, Tae Kwon Do, and cooking great meals for her friends and family. She lives in Los Angeles with her newlywed husband, actor, Jason Delane.
