Yasemin Allen (born in Ashford, England), best known for her roles in the movies Su ve Ates (Water and Fire) and Donerse Senindir, the tv series Merhamet (Mercy), Muhtesem Yuzyil (Magnificent Century) and 46 Yok Olan, is British-Turkish actress of English descent. Her mother, Suna Yildizoglu (Sonja Eady), an established actress and singer, was a prominent figure in the movies of the 70's and 80's Yesilcam era which is still regarded as one of the high points of Turkish cinema history.Yasemin was raised in Turkey and Australia and moved back to Istanbul after completing her education. After experimenting with behind the scenes work, learning the techniques of film production and continuing to work with acting coaches, she starred in her first TV series in 2008, called Elif.Growing up bilingual, Yasemin developed an ear for dialects and accents. Having an English background with the ability to speak fluent Turkish enabled her to play a wide array of roles of different nationalities for the next few years, including Russian and French characters in two popular comedy series - Kavak Yelleri and Yerden Yuksek. In 2013, she gained popularity with the show Merhamet (Mercy), where her role as a rich, spoiled girl who develops sociopathic tendencies became a hit with the viewers.Since then she has worked on various advertisement deals and TV series, her final project to date being the feature film Donerse Senindir, released in December 2016.Yasemin moved to Los Angeles at the start of 2017 and began attending Stella Adler Acting Academy.
