Veronica Wayne was born on an Air Force base in Grand Forks, North Dakota where her father served as a communications specialist. By the age of 10 she had lived with her family in Langley, Virginia; Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, Ramstein AFB, Germany where she had begun to learn German at the age of 8.A science whiz during high school, she was quickly accepted to Northern Arizona University and became a sister of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. But, within less than a year she followed in her father's footsteps and enlisted to serve.By the age of 19 Veronica was an F-14 flight mechanic, attached to a fighter squadron serving on the USS Harry S. Truman and deployed 2 weeks after arriving to her new command to replace the battle group with the USS Cole after it's bombing attack in Yemen. She was trained as a plane captain during her first deployment, supervising all pre and post flight checks for F-14 flight operations. Later she was transferred to Naval Base Pearl Harbor where she was a part of the Honor Detail at Ford Island, participating in details for repatriation, military funerals, retirements and the Pearl Harbor remembrance ceremonies.Returning home from active duty she continued to serve in the Air Force Reserve as an Aviation Fuel specialist on the F-16 fighter base at Luke Air force base in Phoenix. She was named Airman of the Quarter and was sent to advanced training to the Fuels Labs Advanced Course to train as a quality control specialist for daily operations and plane crash fuels testing.In 2006 she deployed to Al Dhafra AB, United Arab Emirates serving Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and Horn of Africa. Her next move was into Combat Communications with the California Air National Guard where she was named NCO of the Year, Airman of the Year, and deployed yet again, this time to Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan.Shortly after her return from Afghanistan, Veronica was encouraged to take acting classes to help with the emotional stress associated with 13 years of service during wartime, and the bug bit hard. Starting as a background actor, Veronica learned every aspect of production from the ground up and appeared in numerous TV shows, Theatre productions and Independent films.In her spare time she volunteers for Pin-ups for Vets, visiting Veterans home in period pin-up clothes, to cheer and encourage the previous generation of Veterans.
