Veronica is a bilingual actor and voiceover talent living in New York. She studied at Miami Dade College and Florida International University (majoring in English Literature), before moving to New York City, where she trained to become an actor. She returned to Miami in 2003, after landing a national and regional voiceover account for the Hispanic market, via which she joined the (then separate unions) Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists (AFTRA). Her voice was featured in numerous television, radio and Internet campaigns. Soon thereafter, she secured on-camera work appearing in various television shows, commercials, Hispanic novelas and independent films.Veronica comes from a musical background -her father is renowned Bandoneonist and composer David Alsina- but her involvement in music does not end there: she has been a band manager, concert promoter, CEO of an independent record label (Circo Records, Inc.), as well as a jingle singer.Veronica sat on AFTRA's Board as Vice President for the Florida branch, and chaired its Spanish Language Steering Committee. She worked diligently as an AFTRA board member to help merge both unions into what is now SAG-AFTRA. She was also a member of the Florida Film Production Coalition and has lobbied on their behalf. She is proud of the volunteer work she did for her union. "It's the least I can do," she says. "I am incredibly thankful to be able to earn a living doing something I absolutely love. Whatever I can do to help other actors achieve the same is very rewarding to me."She moved back to New York in November 2010 to train at the illustrious Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute. She was last seen on stage in an Off-Broadway production of Rosa de Dos Aromas playing Marlene, a role which won her a Premio ATI (Artistas de Teatro Independiente) in 2017.Veronica was recently signed by The Jerry Pace Agency in Beverly Hills and is looking forward to watching her acting career grow! She resides in Manhattan with her husband Jorge and their three cats, though is happy to travel wherever the work takes her.
