As the son of a music teacher and fine arts promoter, it was inevitable that Vaughn began his professional career by the age of 3. He spent his formative years studying the classics and the theory, and performing on the stages, radios and televisions of the Midwest. During that time, he met - and was influenced by - many of the pop music icons of the 40's, 50's and early 60's; icons who were part of the Genesis of our modern music industry. These experiences influenced Vaughn as he went on to learn a variety of instruments, compete in talent shows and attend music camps. He also received years of institutional choral and band training. In his words, "I got a big dose of everything." In the late 60's, Vaughn took his talent to the west coast where he performed with various groups and personalities in the folk and country/western genres for several years. In the 70's and 80's, Vaughn crossed over into motion pictures and television, where he worked in front of the camera as an actor and stuntman, and behind the camera in casting, as a location scout and location manager, as liaison and film commission consultant.Vaughn now works behind the scenes as an entertainment consultant, teacher and writer.
