Growing up in a small town in Newfoundland, Canada may very well have contributed to her reputation as being a delight on set and off. It was in this small town that she also got her first taste of the 'acting bug'. She was very active in drama clubs and loved to perform, although she didn't really outgrow her small town shyness until well into her 30's. It was in her 30's that she was contacted by a representative of Hero Artists Inc after posting some photos online after dropping over 150 pounds starting in 2009 and posing in a couple of photo shoots for local photographers. It was one of these local photographers that encouraged her to post those photos online.Since signing with Hero Artists Inc, Vanessa has been busy with roles all forms of media from print, voice, commercial, TV, movies, music videos, album covers, theatre and so on. She has appeared in over 20 commercials alone in the last couple of years. Recently, she has been smoothly transitioning into the TV and movie circuit and is loving every moment of it. She is quickly being known for the enthusiasm and energy she brings along with her work ethic and dedication to the projects she is a part of.Aside from acting, Vanessa enjoys being creative in many other ways. A few of her favorite hobbies is making jewelry, cooking, being active in her local community. Vanessa volunteers when she can and enjoys helping others. This explains her former career as a nurse.Her goal going forward is to keep gaining experience in TV and film and continue to grow and develop as an actor. Show less «
