Tudor Petrut writes, acts and directs. He has several full-length feature screenplays on the market. From his beginnings as a child actor in his native Romania, Petrut went on to receive formal training in theater, film and television at the prestigious Theater and Film Art Institute in Bucharest. As a film actor, Petrut was awarded a Diploma ACIN - the Romanian equivalent of the Academy Award - for his role in Liceenii (1986). In the arena of theater, Petrut directed such classics as "Death of a Salesman", "Waiting for Godot", "Love's Labour's Lost" for Romanian repertory theaters and "The Two Gentlemen of Verona" for Magnolia Playhouse in Hollywood, and a modern play for the Long Beach Playhouse. As an accredited Los Angeles-based foreign press correspondent, Petrut writes a weekly column on Hollywood and California arts and culture for several Romanian publications. He has served as a Romanian history, art and language consultant for Columbia Pictures' "Bram Stoker's Dracula", and overseas production consultant for Kiper-Lascu and Perpetual Motion Films. Tudor is the host of the weekly radio show "The Hollywood Minute" on Radio Romania at Timisoara. Show less «
