The title role in the London premier of Purlie, 'Ed' in the London revival of Whistle Down The Wind, 'Genie' in the Old Vic's Aladdin with Sir Ian McKellen, 'Robbins' in the original workshop of Trevor Nunn's Porgy And Bess, 'Tyrone' in the London revival of Fame, 'Four Eyed Moe' in Cameron Mackintosh's Five Guys Named Moe, for which he can also be seen on the DVD recording filmed live at the Albery Theatre London. 'Rum Tum Tugger' in Cats in London and also Hamburg Germany, 'Brutus T. Firefly' in Oh What A Night! in London, UK Tour and also Australia opposite Kathy Sledge, 'CC/Curtis' in the Broadway National of Michael Bennett's Dreamgirls, 'Richie' in the farewell Broadway National Tour of A Chorus Line, as well as playing the role in the Italian version directed by Baayork Lee and the 20th Annniversary production of A Chorus Line at Derby Playhouse UK. Tommie has contributed to many cast and show recordings such as Music Man, Hair, and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. He has also been featured in the BBC 20th Anniversary recording of A Chorus Line with Donna McKechnie and David Soul which was conducted by the shows original conductor, Donald Pippin. One of Brodaways most honored conductors. Tommie also played the role of 'Daddy Brubeck' in Sweet Charity with Bonnie Langford, and had the pleasure of dancing with Donna McKechnie in Follies at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, both of which were recorded live for the BBC. He has recorded as a Solo Artist with BMG, RCA and Polydor Records under the name Tommie Jenkins with much European success. One of his many singles 'Let Me Be Your Love' topped the dance charts at number one for six weeks in Spain. He has also worked in front of the camera extensively in films and television and behind the camera doing voice overs in such movies as The Peace Maker (DreamWorks), Bourne Identity (Universal), Agent Cody Banks (MGM), Patriot Games (Paramount), Reign Of Fire (Touchstone), Tommie has appeared as Niles in Goodnight Sweetheart for BBC Television, Wilkommen Im Club for German Television and various commercials throughout Europe. Tommie can be seen in the forthcoming movies of 2012, Gambit playing alongside Academy Award Winner Colin Firth as well as Cameron Diaz, Alan Rickman and Sir Tom Courtenay. Also in The Callback Queen as 'Chuck Rydell'. Tommie was part of the Original London production of Dirty Dancing and the Original Toronto production in the role of 'Tito Suarez' and the Original London Company of Jersey Boys. He has recently returned from playing the role of Barry Belson and several other cameo roles in the Broadway company of the award winning musical, Jersey Boys at the August Wilson Theatre, New York. Tommie is looking forward to playing the role of Dandini in this years 2011/12 pantomime, Cinderella at the Hackney Empire. Tommie has just recently finished recording several audio books for RNIB entitled, "Sweet Soul Music: Rhythm and Blues and the Southern Dream of Freedom" by Peter Guralnick, "Brother Ray" Ray Charles' own story by Ray Charles and David Ritz. He is also recording the autobiography of "Malcom X" by Alex Haley and 12 Years A Slave by Solomon Northup. Tommie has recently had the pleasure of performing as a principal singer in front of 50,000 people in the "Magic of Disney Concert" in Hyde Park, in Honor of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. Singing along side some the industries leading performers that included Sierra Boggess, Joanna Ampil, Sharon D. Clarke and Matt Rawle with a 59 piece orchestra conducted by Simon Lee and Directed by Shaun Kerrison. In March 2014 Tommie completed filming on the new NBC pilot television show, Odyssey starring Anna Friel and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje. He has also been seen in the new ABC series Galavant and filmed The Last Hours Of...Nicole Brown Simpson portraying O.J. Simpson. Show less «
