Thomas Long was the director of Theatre at the University of West Florida in Pensacola for 20 years. Long taught acting for the stage and the camera, believing that an actor should know the nuances of both to be successful in the trade. Long brought many professional actors to the University to appear in productions as an educational tool. Many were well-known personalities from television.After his retirement in the early 1990s, Long pursued his own acting career.
