Thom's goal is to fulfill God's purpose for his life by using his artistic talents to affect change, galvanize emotions, stimulate learning, and entertain the world.Raised in the theatre by his actress mother, Thom was bitten by the acting bug at the tender age of three. Convinced that his calling was to entertain, he played child roles in To Be Young, Gifted and Black and Medea at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland. While at Wilde Lake High School in Columbia, Maryland, Thom juggled talent shows, where he performed as a comedian and vocalist, with athletics, where he was a basketball and track standout. Because of his interests in both sports and entertainment, his athletic coaches nicknamed him "HOLLYWOOD."After graduating from high school, Thom played it safe and took a detour from his true calling and attended Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, where he graduated cum laude and with departmental honors with a bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science. Now with a shift in focus, Thom went forth to work on Wall Street with Goldman, Sachs and Company. Returning to Atlanta after a stint in New York City, Thom began selling data network connectivity for AT&T and MCI WorldCom.While back in Atlanta, inspired by his high school classmate Edward Norton (Primal Fear, American History X, Fight Club), Thom regained his passion for acting. During his double life of sales executive and thespian, Thom returned to the stage where he was a nominee and an award winner for his roles in Wait Until Dark and The Boys Next Door respectively. He also landed a role in the independent feature film Truth Hall and has been casted in numerous commercials and short films. While in Hollywood, Thom returned to the theatre, where he fell in love with acting, becoming a founding member of The Black Gents of Hollywood ("TBGH"), an award winning entertainment company. The critical acclaim of the TBGH's theatrical productions forced Thom and TBGH to take their talents to New York City. While in New York with TBGH, Thom produced and starred in the Off-Broadway award winning and AUDELCO nominated hit play WEBEIME in which he received a Plant Connections Outstanding Lead Actor nomination.
