Steven Wishnoff is a 2X EMMY nominated producer, a writer, a singer, voice over artist, an entertainer and yes, an actor.He has appeared on stages around New York City, and across the United States in roles as diverse as Albin/Zaza in "La Cage aux Folles," to Amos Hart in "Chicago." Similarly, he has appeared in every major piano bar/cabaret venue in New York City as well as Film, Television, & Stage Projects. His wild antics behind a piano lead him to tour the Netherlands and Norway where his twisted creations of "The Abba Power Mix," & "The Dead Pet Medley" thrilled crowds nightly.In addition to a lifetime of musical theatre, Steven provided the voice of The Crimson Chin Shorts (Nickelodeon- Fairly Odd Parents) as well a numerous commercials. He appeared in the BBC film Stonewall and his image was used on much of the advertising for it. In 1998, (during his 5 year stint as prisoner Tony Masters 98M922 on Tom Fontana's OZ - HBO), Steven set his sights on the new media arena and began a full time career as a producer of interactive content at Nick at Nite & TV Land. His love of television culture made it a natural fit. His encyclopedic knowledge of television pop culture lead him through hundreds of TV celebrity interviews, the creation of original franchises, short form programming and promos for both on-air and online.His 2011 performance in the series "Fabulous High" marked his return to a place in front of the cameras playing Principal Adams (who he described as the love child of Ed Rooney (Ferris Bueller's Day Off) and Sue Sylvester (GLEE). Since his return to acting he has appeared in many projects including web series, a sci-fi action/adventure feature, a "killer-comedy" short film and more.As a writer, Steven wrote the LA Emmys for 5 consecutive years, and he is the Creator/Executive Producer of the web series "Life Interrupted" (release date TBD) starring Mason Reese, Alison Arngrim, Dawn Wells, Erin Murphy and Michael Learned.At The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences he is a member of the Diversity Committee, a standing committee of television professionals dedicated to a more inclusive landscape in television/new media both in front of and behind the cameras. Steven is a volunteer for inner city schools in NYC where he provides professional input to music and drama programs.He is a sought after consultant and speaker for non-profit groups wishing to develop corporate and community sponsor partnerships and/or produce related fund-raising activities.
