Steven John Dixon was born just outside Toronto, Ontario, Canada. His passion for storytelling began at a young age, and by second grade he was performing in lead roles onstage and writing sequels to his favorite films and books to recite for classmates. His family moved to London, Ontario when he was four, where he lived until moving away for university. After graduating, he returned to London for a short time to complete a master's degree before moving to Toronto.After years of writing policy as a land use planner, Steven responded to an open casting call for a whiskey commercial and officially began his acting career. He enrolled at LB Acting Studio and studied there for the next two years, during which time he made his television debut as the frantic Nolan Fein on Netflix's third and final season of Designated Survivor (2016). That same week, he made the first of three appearances as Jacob in the final season of Mary Kills People (2017). He has since appeared in the Crave comedy series New Eden (2020) and has leading roles in a number of upcoming independent films.Steven has been training at Anthony Meindl's Actor Workshop since 2019.
