Steven grew up compulsively making videos in the Inland Empire. Furthering his impulse, he studied documentary filmmaking at UC Santa Cruz. He worked in Thailand, India and the Middle East before joining UCLA's MFA Directing program. His short films won high-profile national contests from Freshstep, E-Harmony, and Sprite Films--which screened in 23,000 theaters nationwide. He also won Best Narrative Film at UCLA's prestigious Director's Spotlight Festival. With a passion for character-driven narrative filmmaking, Steven is currently developing his second feature film.
