Skylar Morgan Jones began acting at the age of 5 when she auditioned for her first film role, "Garden of Last Days", staring James Franco. Skylar made it down to the last three girls before the film was scrapped for budgeting issues. However, the experience sparked a love of acting in young Skylar who then started taking acting classes and honing her skill. She quickly realized she had a unique ability to tap into strong emotions and convey them on cue. It is a talent that continues to serve her well in her acting career. And she firmly believes, she will -someday- work with James Franco.Skylar had been awarded the Rising Star Award from the International New York Film Festival and was nominated for Best Actress from the Toronto International Film Festival for her work in "iGirl." She also won the Indi.com Acting Challenge, hosted by casting agent, Tara Treacy from the Big Bang Theory. She said of Skylar, "I absolutely love Skylar! She's adorable, and has a real grasp of playing the scene naturally (which is so hard to find in a kid!). She had a beautiful intensity, just a really talented girl." Skylar was also awarded the People's Choice award from the viewing audience of Indi.com.In her spare time, Skylar volunteers throughout her community and the metro Atlanta area. She has received the Gold Presidential Service Award each year since 2013 as recognition for serving more than 400 volunteer hours. She has been honored by her Mayor, Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners and Governor, Nathan Deal, for her service.Skylar is also a talented violinist, playing since she was 5 years old.Skylar has a younger sister, Ariel, who is also an actress. They stared together in the short film, "Dandelion Days" in the summer of 2016. The two love to be together and can often be found hosting nightly talent shows or comedy acts for their family.
