Actress Shauna Rappold is featured in 20th Century Fox's upcoming Fantastic Four, the latest chapter in the hit super hero series. She's also working on the award-winning FX series American Horror Story. In 2015, Rappold will be seen playing opposite Patrick Wilson and Lena Heady in Zipper, the story of a young federal prosecutor who goes to escort services. A native of New Orleans, Rappold graduated from De La Salle High School, and later attended Louisiana State University, where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Theater. She had a wealth of community theater experience before she started to pursue film and television work. A fan of classical Greek tragedies, she starred in playwright Mary Zimmerman's Metamorphoses, playing the part of Eurydice. She also co-starred in Wendy Wasserstein's The Heidi Chronicles, playing Wendy's best friend, Susan. Two weeks before she finished her studies at LSU, Rappold auditioned for her first movie, and won a leading role. The film was the popular fantasy thriller, Warbirds, and Rappold was cast as Betsy Quigley, a WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilot) who crash lands on a Pacific Island during World War II, where flying dinosaurs are a reality. When Warbirds wrapped, Rappold started getting television roles, including the recurring role of Paige Royer on HBO's Treme and roles on Memphis Beat and Breakout Kings. In features, she booked Enemies Among Us, Barefoot and the box-office hit God's Not Dead. Based in New Orleans, Rappold's acting career has benefited strongly from the increased amount of production in the southeast United States. When she isn't acting, Rappold is singing with one of the best wedding bands in New Orleans (she's had five years of voice lessons).
