Beyer grew up in the rural Northern California town of Grass Valley, moving to Southern California in 1989 to pursue his dreams. He quickly got work as an actor doing touring children's theatre. From there, he worked various odd jobs in and out of the entertainment biz. His production company Eye Scream Films was created in 2000, producing a number of award-winning projects, including the Callous Sentiment segment of the feature Visions of Horror, winning awards for his editing and sound design work. 2005 marked his feature film writing & directorial debut, with the intense drama, Down the P.C.H. (2006) starring Guillermo Díaz, Elaine Hendrix and Lin Shaye picking up worldwide distribution, all while being made for a mere $40,000! His second film, Resurrection Mary (2007) starring Golden Globe-Winner Sally Kirkland and character actor Richard Riehle, is based upon the famous Chicago Urban Legend, and is also available worldwide. Beyer took on editorial duties and produced the behind-the-scenes featurette for the campy thriller The Telling (2009) starring Bridget Marquardt and Holly Madison, best known as Playboy's Girls Next Door, inking distribution with Sony Pictures. He worked in the post sound department for the Sundance hit Bellflower (2011) and just wrapped production as producer of the dramatic horror film Citrus Springs (2016), co-produced and cast by Valerie McCaffrey who will team up with him for their third producer-director collaboration with the adventurous romantic-comedy Poor Paul, based upon the hit web series of the same name. He continues to wear many hats both behind (and occasionally in front of) the camera and in the editing room, with his focus on directing. Show less «
