Scottie (Scott) Jefferies Jr. was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. His father Scottie Sr. was a well-known figure in the oilfield industry for over 50 plus years. His mother Thelda Crow was a devout West Texas women who brought her children up to be devoted to God, as well as the solid foundation of family.He has two sisters both who also living in Texas and Baylor graduates as well as Scott himself.In 1981, his family moved to San Antonio, where his father took an executive position with a major oil and gas company. Scott graduated from San Antonio Roosevelt High School; in his senior year, he was on the top 100 list for QB's in the state of Texas, under the coaching of legendary Texas Ring of Honor Coach John Ferrara. He also was a national qualifier in the 4x100 meter relay in his sophomore year. He attended Baylor University to play football in the fall of 1986, but was seriously injured in a car wreck before the team's Blue Bonnet Bowl appearance against Colorado in 1986.He is from an entertainment background; his cousin Billy Thompson was a legendary Texas Country singer who played with the likes of Bob Wills and Hank Williams Sr. He has had most of his training with the renowned Chris Wilson who opened the Alley Theatre in its original season.Upon graduation in 1994 he ventured into acting and landed his first leading role in the independent feature Going Independent (2002). He has since landed a recurring role on the Direct TV/NBC critically acclaimed Friday Night Lights, working opposite Scott Porter as sports agent Grant Halbert. He also co-starred on the FOX television series The Good Guys episode "Bait and Switch", as well was cast on NBC's Chase as Houston SWAT Commander. He was also cast in Robert Rodriquez Machete as one of Booth's bodyguards (Jeff Fahey) henchmen alongside Nimrod Antal, Al Dias and Dimitrius Pulido. Jefferies career to continues to expand as he was a co-star in the Houston, TX shot and Hamburg Germany produced film Houston.
