In 2016 Sarah worked opposite Brie Larson in "The Glass Castle" for Lionsgate and and directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. She also shot an episode for the BBC and Netflix's "Black Mirror", directed by Jakob Verbruggen.Sarah starred with Ralph Fiennes in The Old Vic's production of "The Master Builder", directed by Matthew Warchus; opposite Michael Fassbender, Kate Winslet, Seth Rogen, and Jeff Daniels in Danny Boyle's "Steve Jobs" for Universal; opposite Kate Winslet and Liam Hemsworth in "The Dressmaker"; and opposite Guy Pearce and Geoffrey Rush in "Holding the Man". Sarah also starred in the 6-part ABC miniseries "The Beautiful Lie". Her big break came when she starred alongside Ethan Hawke and Noah Taylor in the Spierig Brothers' indie film, "Predestination". Sarah played both a man and a woman and was nominated for the AFCA Award for Best Actress (2014), and won the FCCA Award for Best Actress (2014). She appeared in the comedy, "Not Suitable for Children", opposite Ryan Kwanten.Sarah has also won an AACTA Award for Best Lead Actress in a Television Drama, has been nominated for a Logie for Most Outstanding New Talent for her work in the TV Movie, "Sisters of War"; and was the runner-up for the 2011 Australians in Film Heath Ledger Scholarship.
