Sam Merritt is a young man who hails from the Pacific Northwest. While originally coming to Hawaii to study Marine Biology, Sam was asked to work as a background artist on the 2011 ABC show, Off the Map. That experience would transform the direction Sam took in college and he began to train and make connections in the entertainment industry in Honolulu. A graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a BA in Communicology, Sam has been living in Hawaii for over 5 years. In his time on Oahu, Sam has filmed everything from student films to corporate commercials to recurring roles on prime time television shows. Sam has worked with directors such as Martin Campbell, Cameron Crowe and Tim Burton and has spent hundreds of hours on set over the years as an actor, stand-in, background artist and even for minor stunts.
