Said was born in Doha, Qatar and was the second born out of four children. After brief living stints in Doha Qatar, Hartford Connecticut, and Montreal Quebec, his parents finally settled on Kanata, Ontario Canada as their destination for raising their young family.Said attended A.Y. Jackson Secondary school where he was a student athlete playing on basketball, soccer, and rugby teams as well as a member of the Students Council and Music clubs during his freshmen and junior years. A true athlete, Said was a standout rugby player and was a member of the regional and provincial rugby squads however his opportunities in the sport were cut short due to serious injuries that side lined him from the sport indefinitely.Said's love for film was realized at an early age in his life but he didn't get the opportunity to pursue it due to his strict upbringing and parents requests of him to pursue the high school Music clubs instead of the Drama clubs. He got his first part time job at the local movie theater in Kanata where he was known to have taken full advantage of the perks of the job watching several movies a week and on some days even watching two movies in one day prior to, or after, his shift. His second part time job was at the local Video store where he also got his film fix having taken advantage of free movie rentals for employees.Said attended Carleton University studying Communications and International Relations. While there, he began to participate in student films and local independent films. He has been known for saying his love for acting and film became an "unavoidable curiosity that had to be explored".
