Born Ryan Joseph Brant on March 15, 1981, in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. He is the son of Marvina (Clark), a graphic artist, and Robert Joseph Brant, a Civilian Officer for the USAF. Ryan was the first of three children, with younger sisters, Mindy and Rachel. His ancestry is English, Irish, German, Scottish, French, Dutch, Welch, Native American. The Brant family moved every two years following orders, given to his father by the Air Force. Spending his childhood in Florida, Alaska, Mississippi, Germany, and California, the family would eventually come to settle in Colorado Springs, CO, where Ryan grew up. At 17 years of age, Ryan left the US and worked as an English Language Instructor and supported humanitarian efforts, working with various orphanages in Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia. Upon his return to the United States, Ryan moved and quickly settled in Honolulu, Hawaii in 2003.Ryan was first introduced to the world of Film and Television when he attended an open audition in Honolulu for the Feature, "Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides". Saturday, May 15, 2010, Ryan was selected against 7,000 other aspiring actors for a spot in the film and booked as Johnny Depp's Photo Double. While filming, he was also added to the roster of Featured Pirates and Stunt Performers. Though he received no formal acting training, after "Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides," Brant segued into an acting career, appearing on the TV series Hawaii 5-0, and subsequently began to produce, write, direct, and manage the post-production of many Television Commercials and as well as produce, supervise, and work as an effects artist for several Feature Films.In March of 2011, Ryan opened a design agency based with its flagship location in Honolulu and the second location in Los Angeles and worked primarily as a Creative Director, developing films, commercials, branding campaigns and interactive experiences for brands such as Four Seasons, 7-Eleven, Consumer Reports, St.Regis, Disney, Jerry Bruckheimer Productions, Amarok Entertainment, Willow Street Productions and much more. Several of his projects received multiple awards and critical acclaim.
