Rose Bachtel is an American film and television actor. Born in Waterville, Maine, Rose and her family relocated shortly thereafter to Massillon, Ohio. Rose was raised in Northeast Ohio, along with two younger brothers and a younger sister. A young Rose was quiet and reserved around other kids, but had a very active and vivid imagination. She used to creatively conjure up vibrant worlds and story lines for her Barbies, playing by herself for hours. As a child, her first love was singing and she would sit in her room and sing Janet Jackson songs for hours. An avid reader, Rose often spent her summers with literary classics, and her favorite series, The Baby-Sitters Club. In middle school, she excelled in basketball and learned to play the clarinet. It was in high school that performing took precedence over her love for basketball and volleyball, and Rose started acting in plays and musicals and performing in choir. A self-labeled overachiever, Rose masterfully maintained a 4.3 GPA throughout high school. Her favorite academic subject in high school was Spanish, and she was very active in the school's Spanish club. She experienced her first international travel in her junior year when she raised enough money to join a student trip to Australia, which she found transformative, and made her more confident than she had ever been before.Rose began attending the University of Toledo and decided to major in Theatre after she landed the lead role in the first college play for which she auditioned. Throughout college, she was focused on theater, and took voice lessons and sang classically. She also continued studying Spanish, for which she received, along with Theatre, her Bachelor of Arts Degree. During her senior year, Rose studied and lived in Santiago, Chile and completed her degree at the Universidad de Andrés Bello, then returned to Chile shortly thereafter to teach English. She then returned to the University of North Carolina - Wilmington to earn her Master's Degree in Teaching, specializing in Spanish. In 2012, Rose decided to pursue the dream she initially had at age 15 and made the move to Los Angeles, leaving everything behind, except for the contents that would fit in her car. Shortly after arriving in L.A,, Rose began studying with several acting coaches and booked various commercials, short films, a part on "NCIS: Los Angeles," and a role in the 2013 summer blockbuster, The Conjuring.
