Robert was born in Peoria, Illinois, to Gwen (Womack), and Leroy Stewart. As a child he had an affinity for television and movies especially those with police and gangster themes some notable favorites being, The Godfather (1972) and Goodfellas (1990). While working in New Mexico in 2012 he learned of the large number of opportunities to participate in TV and movie productions in the State. It was at this time he joined a regional casting agency and began attending casting calls for various roles. As luck would have it, on his first call he was selected to be an FBI Agent on the USA show, In Plain Sight (2008 - 2012). After the In Plain Sight (2008-20012) series ended, he had a dry spell with casting calls. After being passed for parts on movies: The Lone Ranger (2013), Meet the Millers (2013) and the TV show, Breaking Bad (2008-2013), he finally received an offer to play a Sheriff's Deputy in the CBS pilot Vegas (2012). Not only was Vegas (2012) another theme he enjoyed (police and gangsters) but the outstanding cast of: Dennis Quaid, Michael Chiklis and Carrie-Anne Moss coupled with the screen writer Nicholas Pileggi, who also wrote the screenplay for Goodfellas (1990), made the opportunity a dream come true. After filming was completed, he believed that he could not top his experience on the Vegas (2012) show, and retired. However, in recent years he was mentioned the "itch", but noted it would have to be an unbelievable opportunity for him to get back behind the camera. Show less «
